The Condition of a Mini Face Lift Bruising Following the Procedure

If you wish to have a swift recuperation period after getting a cosmetic surgery, then consider having a mini face lift for it is a type of short scar procedure that normally have a short period of healing. Most patients can even start doing their not so physical tasks merely days after having the surgery and can also go home 24 hours following the surgery, provided he/she is taken care of by a dependable individual. There will be swelling and bruising of the face a day after the procedure is administered so it’s not advisable to go out. For those who find it necessary to go to work after their surgery, it’s OK to do so and you can hide the bruising by letting your hair down in front of your face.

The process and recovery from a short scar facelift is more tolerable than that of the regular facelift procedure. For instance, the puffiness and bruising are only usual yet can be decreased significantly once you put ice pack and apply Arnica on your face a week before undergoing the mini face lift operation. Mild infections could happen but they are simply treated with the use of antibiotics.

Initially, there will be skin constriction but this will gradually smooth out the skin after the start of the constriction 2 weeks following the mini face lift surgery. Once this happens, the incision will then mend and the sutures will be removed by your plastic surgeon. For a couple of years, the skin lifting effect will be visible.

In a matter of two to three weeks, majority of the skin bruising and soreness that takes place after the procedure will start to fade or disappear. You have to keep in mind though that your recuperation speed and pain tolerance will not be similar to other people who have gotten this cosmetic procedure.  This is because every outcome, experience and healing process of all mini face lift patients will vary from person to person.

Know and Understand the Process of a MACS Mini Facelift

Short scar facelift procedures have become popular these days among those people on their 40’s and early 50’s who are wishing to maintain their youthful appearance. A MACS mini facelift is one of those short scar facelift methods favored by many since it’s a fast procedure taking just 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours to be completed. Patients of MACS lift are only put under local anesthesia and mild sedation; although there are also special cases (if combined with other face surgeries) where general anesthesia is required. This kind of face lift surgery will result to a naturally revitalized and younger looking skin, unlike the ‘windswept’ normally obtained from a full facelift.

If you are planning on having a MACS mini facelift, it’s vital that you know and understand the procedures involved in it. During the operation, your surgeon will first make an incision in front of your ear that will extend up to your hairline, above the eyebrows. You don’t have to worry about having scars beneath your ears because there will be none. A small portion of your skin is then elevated off the cheek and your skin’s primary SMAS (the tough skin layer that lose its elasticity once you age resulting for your eyelids to look stressed, your jowl’s prominence and cause the tissue on your neck to droop) will be joint upwards via three sutures that are securely connected to a strong tissue underneath your temples. The same procedures are executed on the other part of your face.

With the kind of suturing technique used in a MACS mini facelift, the skin on your neck will also be tightened, your jowl reshaped and your cheeks held up in a more youthful area with regards to your lower eyelids.  The unnecessary skin that have been moved upwards for being linked to the SMAS is cut at the incision and then sealed in a restrained tightness with delicate sutures.

Right after the operation, a slight soft pressuring "gauze helmet" dressing will be put on your stitches but your entire face will be spared and there will be no drains. The next day after your operation, the dressing will be taken out. You’ll surely recuperate well and fast from a MACS mini facelift surgery since the pain is just tolerable and can be eased out using pain medications your doctor will prescribe for you once needed.

MACS Mini Facelift Definition and the Ideal Age to Have It

The methods used in the surgery. One of them is MACS mini facelift (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) introduced 10 years ago in Europe’s world of cosmetic medicine. Unlike the customary facelift surgery, the incision made when returning the position of the face deep tissues during a MACS facelift procedure is not at the back of the ear but instead permanently stitched on the deep fascia of the temple region, also known as the cranial suspension.

Normal signs of old age like gravitational changes on the cheeks and jaw start to show when you reach your forties or early fifties. If you are not keen on having them in your face, then you can undergo a MACS mini facelift to efficiently eliminate them. Take note though that for cases where laxity grows in the neck areas at the age of mid-forties and above, the solution would have to be the usual full facelift.

Getting the traditional facelift procedure will bring dramatic face transformations, however the scars left by the operation are not that easy to conceal. For this reason, most patients at their earlier age now favor undergoing cosmetic procedures that are less invasive like that of a MACS mini facelift.

Staying physically youthful and beautiful even if you have reached forty or forty years old can be made possible with the aid of cosmetic procedures. Just make sure you chose to have holistic methods in facial beautification if you don’t want to look like someone who obviously gone under the knife; which is not flattering for most people. With MACS mini facelift, early signs of aging such as dull complexion, sagging of the skin and facial lines can be successfully removed and will result to a naturally rejuvenated and young-looking skin.

The Difference of Getting MACS Mini Facelift

The popularity of an S lift, which is also referred to as the mini lift or MACS mini facelift (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension), stemmed from patients testimonies that they often get a more natural face transformation result compared to the ‘windswept’ look that is usually acquired from a full facelift. This advanced technology cosmetic procedure will effectively lift sagging skin on the jaw line and cheeks, as well as firm the neck to make it look more youthful

With regards to the difference of getting a mini lift rather than the customary facelift, this cosmetic surgery will result to scars that can be simply conceived since the incision are placed in front of the ear rather than behind it. Another great thing about a MACS mini facelift is that it’s considered to be highly safe. This is because only a smart portion of the skin is raised so the danger of bleeding and possible damage of the nerves is avoided.

Unlike a full facelift that takes 3.5 hours to get done, a mini facelift only needs a matter of 2.5 hours to be completely finished. Aside from the fast procedure, patients are also expected to swiftly recuperate following a mini lift in a period of just 2-3 weeks and not go through the 3-4 weeks recovery time of a classic facelift. So the ‘mini in MACS mini facelift obviously means a shorter recovery process and little scars seen on the face.

Choosing to go for an S lift will no doubt give you the result of a face that looks normally firm and youthful. One thing to remember is that despite the fact that a MACS mini facelift will produce long lasting outcomes on your rejuvenated face, it can’t prevent the natural aging process of your skin.

Find Out the Various Types of Mini Facelift Procedure

Individuals who wants to look young and fresh but does not like getting a full facelift should consider a mini facelift procedure for it can give them a revitalized skin with only short scars. There are actually different sorts of techniques applied in doing this kind of facelift procedure. Keep on reading if you want to know each of them.

MACS Facelift
This facelift method is the one favored by majority of cosmetic surgeons as it effectively leaves a short scar through tightening every facial deep tissue then putting it back once more to its usual place.

S Lift
15 years ago, the S lift made its debut in the world of cosmetic surgery. During this mini facelift process, the hairline is cut down in front of the ear and will then continue to slightly elevate. The lifts of the skin in this facelift technique are straight up and backwards.

Hollywood Facelift
If you want a facelift that’s done simply, then a Hollywood facelift will be perfect for you. This cosmetic process can be administered under a local anesthesia and is less invasive compared to others.  During the operation, some tissue on the temples are lifted and then stitched up. So the scars that will be left behind are only seen in the temple, hidden under the hairline.

Thread Lifts
Even though the thread lifts method is well-known, they are not often used due to being painful as barbed threads – or other sort of surgical threads – are put beneath the skin that will compress the tissue and lift them up. Moreover, this mini facelift technique will give the face some fold lines (wrinkles) since the surgery procedure does not take out skin.

Keep in mind that each type of the mini facelift I just discussed will show amazing outcomes to those individuals that are 40 years old and up, plus those patients in the mid 50’s age range.
